A 130 year old Honky-Tonk with music coursing through it's veins, The Kenney Store was constructed in 1887, and it has seen a lot of history since then. Originally a general store (hence the namesake) The Kenney Store went through many changes and updates in its life. Music was introduced in the mid-1900's, where KARMA was born (the Kenney Area Rural Music Association). The Kenney Store became a place for local musicians, young and old, to gather, play guitars, sing songs, and make memories.

On a cold winter day, Tony and Rita Krueger were driving around, discussing life, aspirations, and a possible change of pace. They stopped into that famed small town watering hole, and upon walking through those old wooden doors, Rita said "This is it."

Tony and Rita bought The Kenney Store on February 26, 2013 at 10:00 am and opened it up on the same day at 3:00 pm. They jumped in headfirst and have not looked back. Starting as just a "beer joint" and gathering place, The Kenney Store slowly turned into a restaurant, bar, and now, a full blown live music venue. In 2023 the Kenney Store was recognized by the Texas Country Music Association as the TCMA Live music venue of the year.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy great food and live music, come on by! Devour in some of our home cooking, always served with sweet southern charm. Drink a few ice cold beers, specialty wines, and signature drinks from our full bar. 

The Kenney Store has live music , Friday, and Saturday nights. Check out our calendar for details. If you are lucky, a few well-known singers may stop by dressed with a fiddle or acoustic guitar. On the weekends, our stages are graced with anyone from local uprising musicians, to some of the biggest names in all of music. Rather you like to tear up the dance floor, or just enjoy listening to great live entertainment, The Kenney Store is a place where good times are had, and memories are made.
